- dsomonsterExplorerInstalled a hitch style bike rack for the kids' bikes. Swagman Turbo 2 bike hitch from Camping World for $129.99.
This thing is heavy duty and very well manufactured. I recommend this to anyone. They have another model that is $40 more, but no need for hook clamps to the bike frames, the included strap works just as good. - trucker_101ExplorerGot all my unworking lights working, just bad connections that emery cloth fixed.Repaired a tail pipe clamp. Wife cleaned & vacuumed the inside & loaded with cloths & sheets.
- WildSueExplorerI'm so excited to finally be able to post in this thread! I've been watching it for months and now finally have a Class C to do things to.
This part's not so exciting....I got new to me bedding that more closely matches the dusty rose and dusty green late 80's motif. Thank you, Value Village! And I read the manual for how to set the clock in the radio (why does it take a manual now to set a clock??)
That's it so far, but I'm looking to spend quality time with my MH as soon as school is out. - goreds2ExplorerFor month's, I have had trouble getting a 100% satellite radio signal in my motor home. (the antenna was just on the front hood) Last week, I climbed the roof to look for a better spot. I found a place that I could slide in a 1/4 inch metal washer where it would not move. I just stuck the magnetic antenna on it and all is good. :C
- ntar827ExplorerReplaced fresh water inlet (hose adapter with check valve.
Also had MH washed at a Blue Beacon car wash. Was pleased with the result.
Does anyone know of a chain like Blue Beacon that is wide spread through out the US? - RipsnortExplorerBow to stern cleaning, and then I changed the oil.
I couldn't change the filter though, the previous owner had overtighted the filter and I could not get that sucker to budget even just a bit. I'll wait until this fall, and take it to a Lube joint to loosen. The filter looks new anyway, but dammit, I just don't sleep as well at night knowing I have a used filter on there. :( - trucker_101ExplorerPut another coat of white rubber paint on the metal roof.Tomorrow I have to fix some tail & clearance lights that I saw weren't working tonight. :S
- bukhrnNomadRan the generator for an hour, steam cleaned all the carpet.
- Jason_NippExplorerToday I removed the Winegard crank up satellite dish and put on a new Winegard Sensar III off air antenna. It was a simple install, but was a lot of work on the roof. That dish must have seen some strong winds because the fiberglass was shredded in a half moon radius. I used an entire tube of lap seal on it.
I added a wingman at the same time, but I must say I have no idea how Winegard can claim it improves DTV signal up to 100% when it has no active connection to the bat wing at all.
Otherwise I think I have heat stroke which is ok I guess for a hard days work. :) - j-dExplorer IICommentsL
We like Manatee Springs State Park a lot!
Adding MaxxAirII covers to two FanTastic's, I drilled for the machine screws, nuts, lock washers and flat washers that MaxxAir supplied. Required a lot of dismantling to get the nuts and washers on. In one case the washers wouldn't go on so I just drilled for a self tapping screw. Wish I'd done that for all eight holes. I spoke with an RV tech and he said he never does the nut/bolt routine. Glad you trimmed the sealant. We had water running into the vent area because sealer was so thick it caused puddling at the hinge.
