- webproExplorerI have a diesel Class C and added a power chip to it today. Not sure how much it will help on the fuel mileage but on my diesel pickup, I picked up 9 MPG. Hoping for about 4 on the C. Hydrogen Fuel Generator is next. Also on my pickup. Combined I get 25 MPG on a 3/4 ton Ford, 4 wheel drive as long as I stay out of City Driving.
- j-dExplorer IIGot it back from the alignment shop. We had worn steering parts, but the improvement wasn't all that much. Shop said the long stretched C's on Ford chassis are rough on front end parts. Said they'd seen them with 20000 miles needing most of the components (tie rods, ball joints) replaced. Ours has 34000. I'll post more in another thread.
- 4tumbleweedsExplorerFound some rot, so I get to figure out how to take care of it. On the fun side, dropped three kids off at the local pool, had lunch with DW, don't get to spend enough one on one time with her and then went to the local hardware store and other running around with her.
- dsomonsterExplorerInstalled a full motion flat panel tv mount to the bedroom tv. The tv is mounted up high and it was like watching ghosts unless at eye level which meant standing on the bed.
Now I can tilt the tv down, up, side to side.
Saved me from buying a new tv. - dsomonsterExplorerAdded filters to my 3 Fantastic Fans to keep each remote from interfering with each other. Apparently, they were a little too close together and the radio signals were confusing the fans if they were all on at the same time.
- PA-GUYExplorerHad my Blue-ox baseplate, light kit & Aladdin tow bar installed onto '09 Jeep Liberty. Just need to get Brake Buddy now & I am set to tow. Actually I towed it home connected up only about 10 miles without Brake Buddy & didn't really notice it.
- boseefusExplorerInstalled a set of Bigfoot levelers! Set it up in a nearby parking lot and WOW!
- woodworker414ExplorerWell the awning and I got a bath today, It was a little dirty. When we were on our trip 2 wks. ago, I was under an awning of another camper, the underside had a lot of black spots some large in size. I suspect that this was mold. I thought that I better get mine clean. I don't think that it is a good idea to let mold grow on a awning. I just love messing with the C.
Bill - brloweExplorerI finished installing LED lights. They really make a difference in the power drain on the battery. I have a linkPro installed and with no lights on I have a 0.3 amp draw. Turn on 1 regular light and the draw goes up to 1.7 amps. So 1 light is 1.4 amps. So now I have 10 LED lamps installed. With all 10 on I my total draw is 1.9 amps. So I can run 10 lights for a little more power than 1 regular lamp. I really like them. Now my kids can leave all the lights on they want and we can leave the porch light on all evening until we go to bad with no problems when we are not hooked up.
- woodworker414ExplorerWent camping today, out in front of the house. Woke around 6:30AM, felt a little warm, looked at the ceiling fan, not moving, looked at the clock radio, nothing. Great no power. The DW work later and said that she thought it was a little thick in here. With her trying to get over a good case of the flu. So I fired up the C and brought it around to the front of the house, the DW struggle to get out there. It sure was nice to have all the comforts of home, power came on around lunch time. So tomorrow I will clean the holding tanks. Now the rain has moved on, but the hot weather is moving in. 90 tomottow, 96 Thursday, can't wait.
