- tomkaren13ExplorerHad a 12v concetion fixed so the Air conditioner would run. Two days ago had a propane leak repaired. Yes its ALL fixed.
- hotbyteExplorerWent to nearby RV dealer and bought new shower and lavatory faucets. Didn't really like the ones that were in it and the shower hot handle would come off if twisted wrong. The originals were a brushed antique brass kind of color. We went with nice white ones. We plan on replacing the kitchen sink with a matched goose neck faucet. DW said the cash register was already ka-chinging too much for one day :(
Replaced 4 plastic cabinet door spring struts with new metal ones. One was broken. I'll probably replace the remaining 2 plastic ones later.
Also, pulled MH onto driveway and using a few bottle jacks got MH level and put on some Hoppy calibrated levels on exterior and small 1" levels in cab area. - BlackiceLSCExplorerOh Lord, this weekend was one of the most frustrating, BUT...it's done.
What did I do to my Class C today? I thanked it for doing what it did, when and where it did it.
What happened?
Everything is ready-I went to start it to take it from my shop to my house to get it ready for the long haul this week.
crank, crank.....crank......crank.... Hmmmm....no start.
it's been running fine, and starting every time for 2 months.
try it again.....still, nothing.
I check for spark. None.
Closer inspection shows me the two wiring harnesses that connect to the ignition module are completely corroded, exposed wires, very bad.
seems at some point in the RV's life, it had a master cylinder replaced. There was brake fluid rot all underneath it, and this factory harness with two pig-tails sits right there.
I removed the ignition module, and by-passed the two pig-tail connections to the module. I butt-spliced the harness to the module, and it fired right up.
Again, I thank my lucky stars it happened then, and not 250 miles down the road at a gas station. - rockhillmanorExplorer IIPaid over $500.00 to have the entrance lock repaired at a CG when it locked me out!. Don't even ask why it cost so much.:R
- mbryantExplorerMine stays ready to go. Just waiting for 10/3/09 to leave
- VirginiaValExplorerExercised the generator while driving up to Peaks of Otter on the Blue Ridge Parkway for lunch.
- BlackiceLSCExplorerI'll be installing my Draw-Tite anti-sway bar to the race car trailer this weekend, going to the store and filling the RV full of essentials, gassing it up, hooking up the trailer and taking it to a BIG empty parking lot for some test runs to set up the anti-sway tension...and then bring it home for 2 days before...
my FIRST "going racing" outing with Jambo.

Heading out today to Johnson's Valley, CA to the dry lake bed for some off-road fun. I hope the weather cools down a bit for us. - ron_dittmerExplorer IIITonight I installed a 19" Toshiba TV/DVD combo unit in our rear corner bedroom nook. It will be real nice to have on our upcoming trip as the evenings are getting darker earlier. We have a main TV, but sometimes we like to lay & stretch out, and the bed is great for that.

- BennieHExplorerWife and I installed new slide out awning cover material. We bought it through rvtechray. Took us 2 hours. We were quoted about $400 to have it replaced. $163.45 including the shipping.
Now I can another goodie!
