Now enough of the teasing, tell us what is the small present. I will not tell anyone. - W4MBGExplorerRepaired (hopefully) the crank handle for the TV antenna. It was broken in half when we bought the RV a few weeks ago, but the PO kept the broken off end and gave it to me. I made a backing plate from 1/16" aluminum, drilled 4 holes in it, and glued it to the back side of the crank. I used Scotch-Weld 3501, and let the glue ooze up through the holes. I will reattach the handle tomorrow, and try it on Friday. If it breaks, no big deal, I will buy a new one.
- johnbhicksExplorerA little maintenance...
Stopped a leak at the water heater a while back, then once dry painted the floor in that compartment with Git-Rot and will follow with a coat of Gluvit making sort of a pan. If it leaks again, and it probably will, it won't soak the wood.
Slopped some POR-15 on the underside of the hood and the bottom of the doors. Gotta get the doors filled and covered with diamond plate or something.
And enjoyed the sunny 73F weather at our home base in Florida. - RemmagExplorerThis wasn't today, but about 11 months worth. Picked our Aspect 26A in Jan. and here is a short list of of what I can think of: Replaced shower head & bathroom faucet, added accumulator tank to water system, modified the dinette table, replaced main air vent with remote control rain sensor model, replaced #27 batteries with #31, added 800W inverter, added 2 magazine racks one to each side of the dinette, installed passenger swivel seat, converted space under bed for storage, added 2 pull-out and 1 fold-down drawers to galley area, added a fold-down table by the barrel chair, changed interior lighting to LED, up-graded my GPS, and that's about it.
