- mgirardoExplorerWe took a day trip to Jekyll Island, GA today (about 15 mile drive). It threatened to be close to 70 today, so we loaded up the bikes, dewinterized the motorhome and drive to the last remaining large parking lot (all the rest are closed due to the construction). We strohled along the beach then went back to the MH for lunch. Then we hoped on the bikes and road along the beach to play Mini-Golf. We have season passes for the water park which includes unlimited Mini-Golf. It started to cool down and get windy, so we road back to the motorhome along the beach.
I'll have to re-winterize in a couple days, but it was nice to get out for the day. It'll be in the low 50s tomorrow, so today was a good day.
-Michael - snowdanceExplorerPicked up my table at the cabinet shop.. Nice job. Like it much better without the cup holders.
Also had time to look at the wires under the drivers seat. Think some one removed a base or amp for the sound system.. Found a live #8 wire and traced it back to the engine battery.. Had about a 40 amp fuse. Removed the wire and also traced and removed several other wires.
Pulled the cover on the back of the cab to coach hookup and checked to be sure every thing is tight.. It was. I had already redid the top of the cab to coach as it was all loose..
The awning on our MH was junk when we got it.. Removed it and looked it over. Really little worth saving.. Got a hold of a fellow I know that rebuilds and installs awnings. He is rebuilding us a good A&E he has and will install it with new material. For $570. Best deal I could find.
It has warmed to our normal 30ish nights and 50+ days and lots of sun.. Sad to say I have leaves to rake and yard to clean.. So will just pet the MH as I pass by for a couple days. - mikakujaExplorerStarfire5, I have storage issues as well so I picked up a fibreglass box to mount on the back. I could store my chairs, bbq, tools etc under the dinette benches or in the closet but I would rather keep them outside where they will be used and use the inside storage for inside stuff... I just have to mount my receiver hitch and build a mount for the box. I'll post up some pics on my build thread (76 Dodge Edson) once I get it mounted.
- TyroneandGladysExplorerJust got back from spending the weekend out in one of our county parks. Thanks goodness the heater worked good it got down in the low 40s both nights:R

Starfire, quite the lounge area in the back, congrats! Looks like you guys will be party central...
I know - right?? I'm thinking it will be PERFECT for tailgating! LOL The first things I put in it today were my wine glasses! :D
One thing I've already discovered though - there's hardly ANY storage! I can't even find a storage bin big enough for 2 folding lawn chairs! :( But everything else about it is SWEEEEEETTT! I LOVE it! - RambleOnNWExplorer II
Do you have any pics of the inside with the slide out.
Here's a link to a 2009 30D:

Its nice to be able to run it from any place in the RV. My lack of sound in the rear speakers was the switch in the outside entertainment system. It also works nice.. Still have no idea who makes it but it works..
So after it was working my wife brought out a couple glasses of wine and and light snack. We sat and talked about our first trip this year.. Then I shut the heat off and we came in. Come on spring.. - bukhrnNomad

I went outside to see my CLass C buried in 24" of new snow, 16" the week before. Yes, grown men cry! Went back inside the house and started to make campsite reservations for our next trip. I hope it melts soon so I can hit the road. LOL I also ordered a Coil n" Wrap for my water hose.
I feel your pain, while mine is not covered in snow, (right now), it is just sitting, I have already made reservations for 2 short trips, only 4 days each, but it makes me feel better, knowing that I have Something to look forward to.:( - bukhrnNomadWent out, Started the generator, turned on all non LED lights, (converted most of them),TV, put in a DVD, turned on the Ceramic heater on High, (1500W) & let her run, Oh, I forgot to mention the beer, but then that has nothing to do with the MH.:B
- snowdanceExplorerYesterday I took my table out to a friends cabinet shop after I had removed the old formica and filled the holes where the cup holders were. He had a piece of formica we liked so he will sell me the formica and install it for $50.
I also installed speakers in the doors and rear of our MH it had none. Then installed a new radio CD ect. with remote. Radio works fine but I have no rear speakers.. I have no clue how it all works as there are outside speakers ect. I do have the house batterys unhooked so it may work after I get them hooked up.. Also there is a switch missing near the door with a couple wires hanging.. Have no idea what that is.. I do have a low voltage test unit so will start tracing wires after it warms a bit.. Help, if you know how a 2000 Jamboree outside entertainment system works or who made it. Have not found anything on it so far but guess today is my day to start learning..
