- johnbhicksExplorerGooped, gooped and gooped. At least the water isn't running out any more; I can only presume that water isn't running in.
And now if it'll ever stop raining I can get another coat of POR-15 on the steps. At least it's 75F+ when it's raining. :B - Starfire5ExplorerWe FINALLY got it registered and licensed! It took FOREVER to get the title from Illinois, so we had to drive it downtown to the tag office today. It's the furthest I've ridden in it since my husband brought it back from Chicago last month. We loaded a few more things in it and I had my hubby spray the electric steps with WD40 as they were starting to shudder and make a noise. Worked like a charm. Only a few more weeks until our first shakedown trip! Can't wait!
- snowdanceExplorerOur weather was in the 60's yesterday afternoon. So I got out and covered the back part of the front wheel wells on our 2000 chevy. There was an area at the rear of the wheel well that was open but our running board supports were there. So took an older mudflat and cut it down and screwed it to the running board supports. Now the water, ect from the front wheels will not soak the electric steps and Generator so much.. Easy job, with no cost. I took the old mudflap and 8 small bolts, washers, and nuts that I got from the used bolt box I hang on to.. One more job off the list..
http://www.jeffersonstate.com/ - W4MBGExplorerwell, not exactly today...
on friday i drove the rv to work (55 miles round trip). ran the genny both ways with a 1500 watt heater strapped under the dinette table for a load. filled her with gas (ouch!).
and yesterday i went to a "yard sale" at a storage unit. i bought a small tool box with some junk in it. down at the bottom of the junk i found two brand new marshall brass water pressure regulaters and a 15-30 amp adapter! i already have the shore power adapter, but now i dont have to buy the pressure regulator. :) - snowdanceExplorerOur weather was sunny and warm enought for me to lay on the ground under the rear and make a couple repairs on the area behind the rear wheel wells. The owner before blew the inside rear tire on both sides.. Damage was minor and only took some packing styrofoam and a 10 inch by 10 inch patch on each side. Used roof flashing to make the repair. One more thing off the list of things I want to deal with..
- ReplantExplorerTore apart the interior entrance steps to remove the retractable exterior metal step to see why it pointed downward at a dangerous angle and to see what is under the bumpy OSB sub-flooring in the coach.:(
Then we removed the 1/8" front wall paneling in the cab-over, concealed the exposed clearance lamp jumper wire and installed a sheet of 1/4" luan mahogany before re-installing the front window. Putting the window back was against my better judgment but how come the women always win? At least the cab-over re-build is near completion. :) - Rich_PanganibanExplorerHere in Southern California, it was sunny and in the 60s yesterday. I took the coach out to the beach and did some kayaking. Unfortunately, the parking enforcement was a little over zealous and wrote me a ticket for parking an oversize vehicle (over 24ft) in a non-legal spot on the curb...even though there were no posted signs :( Off to the court house to contest a $49 parking ticket!#@%
- snowdanceExplorerWe are having normal weather for our area (California middle of the state, east west, just south of Oregon). 30ish nights and 50ish days. Yesterday afternoon was sunny and 50+. This year I parked the MH on the cement pad in the front yard near the garage door.. So working on it is easy.. I removed and cleaned the stop, clearance, parking lights. Replaced any bulbs ect.. Wished we could get away. But nights still to cold here in the high country for water and holding tanks.. And winter will be back so just working on stuff and being out in the sunshine.. Most years April is when we can start Camping again. Come on April....
