Yesterday I went to Safelite to ask about a rock chip repair. I have a large deductible on glass, so this would be out of pocket. I was told it would cost $99, no negotiating. They said almost everything they do goes through insurance companies, so they don't discount the price. Period. I'll probably try the auto parts store stuff.
