Here is my take on the storage issue.
1. You have already invested in a rapidly depreciating asset, your RV. Yes, I know, it is the cost of the lifestyle but still, purely from an investment standpoint, RV's are not a good investment.
2. Every post I have seen so far in this thread are all from people who are renting their RV storage. Really? So, in five years you will lose at least 50% of your RV's value, and 100% of the money you spent on storage.
Granted, I should disclose that I built RV Storage condos, so my opinion is just a bit bias. However, the simple fact is buying your storage in most all cases is better than renting. Granted, you have to make a substantial investment up front, that I understand. But your monthly costs are much lower than anything I have seen in this thread. At my project, it is $35 per month association dues, about $800 per year in property taxes, and $6 per month for electricity +-.
Before you jump all over me, this is for enclosed storage, alarmed, secure, automatic doors, 50' deep with 14' tall doorways, Showers, dumps, wash area, laundry, WIFI etc.
I don't mean to make this into a commercial, I simply wanted to point out there are better alternatives than renting.
