People choose MH's for different reasons, no doubt. However many rule out diesels because they don't have good information. The US has a documented acceptance problem with diesels, in the non commercial market. As Ivylog mentioned, there are advantages in his MH that can not be found on a gas MH at any price or age. I purchased mine for less than $80k, six years ago. It is certainly his choice, it's his money. There is much to digest to make an informed purchase and he should take his time and enjoy the process.
