Unfortunately many 40' DPs (without a tag) in the years 2003-2006 have very little CCC because of more slides, tile floors, more options. 2chief is correct than you need to be concerned about CCC which should be posted in the MH, often behind a cabinet door.
Comparing a 2000 4081 weights to a 2004 4020 will be off by thousands of pounds. I found the following numbers for a:
2004 Newmar Mountain Aire 4020
V Type: Class A
Chassis: Freightliner XC
Length: 40 ft.
Slides: 2
GVWR: 34,000*
UVW: 28,247*
CCC: 4,353* *means your numbers may vary.
Status: Used
Power: Diesel
Engine: Cummins ISL
Horsepower: 400
Mileage: 31,386
Sleeps: 4
Fuel: 100
Fresh Water: 115
LP Gas: 134
34000- UVW of 28,247= 5753 lbs BUT you have 2100 lbs of people/fuel/water that comes off that number for a CCC of 3652... not 7000, not even 4353 BUT still more than enough even for FT if you are careful about what you hoard.
