What house batteries do you recommend

My house batteries are 7 years old and while they are still working alright,I want to replace them on my terms, not when I have no choice. What is the recommended replacement? I have a bank of four. Thanks all.

  • Sam's Club has Duracell GC2 six volt for $85 each.

Bought 4 in March and am very pleased with them.

Manufactured by East Penn/Deka in PA.

X2, but mine were in a awkward place to add distilled water when needed if I had gotten wet cells. I've had the AGMs for over a year now and are very happy with them!!! I got two 8D from Deka (East Penn). Local autoparts store special ordered them in for me.

Edit - I said West Penn when I should have said East Penn. East Penn builds batteries. West Penn blends specialized petroleum prodcuts such as injector cleaners for big companies.
