What is an exceptable DOT date code for new tires??

About to purchase a couple of tires, 255/80/22.5 XZE Michelin's. Been speaking with a Michelin dealer that excepts the Michelin advantage program,they have the tires at another dealer's location. The ...

Tires are not manufactured in a continuous stream, they are made in batches. It's entirely possible that the last time your size tire was produced was in a batch 6 months ago.
