What is an exceptable DOT date code for new tires??

Bought mine through the FMCA plan and the tires were 9 weeks old when installed. I was told by my tire dealer that most times the tires bought with the FMCA plan are newer tires than buying off the shelve. My dealer did not carry my size and had to order. It was a 3 day wait.
