That just happened to me. I had new Maxxis tires installed 3 weeks ago and they are dated late 2013. I didn't catch it until I got my trailer home but I don't think I could have done anything about it. The local tire place didn't carry Maxxis brand tires and had to special order them. They didn't have any control on what was shipped to them. I don't think it's that big of a deal since the tires were new (never been used) but it bugs me that the tires are already 15+ months old.
