What is average spent on 2001 or older motorhome maintenance
I spent 2 to 3 thousand a year on repairs on 2001 winnibago journey is this normal?

That's about what I was figuring off the top of my head. Although, sometime I don't believe that I've spent that much. I'm mostly DIY, so my labor time is my own so there is savings there. Overall though, I tend to agree that figuring an average of $700./yr sounds about right.
So, in direct answer to the OP's question, $3000./yr does seem high.
