What is the most stressful part of driving your coach?

1. The driver in the right hand seat of my coach that doesn't even like to sit in the drivers seat to do the lights and refuses to turn the key to just start it. Also doesn't want to learn how to drive it and I'm a driver trainer at the bus garage I drive at.
2. Drivers that merge at freeway on ramps and have no idea that they are the ones s'posed to yield.
3. Drivers that have to get around you and then slow down. Or the guy who's doing 55-58 and you pass him and he passes you back and settles back to 55-58.
4. Stopping to eat or shop in a VERY large parking and someone parks right in front of you and you've got the toad on and can't back up to get out. 4 feet is all I figger I can safely back the toad.

For me, the stressful parts of driving are:

Construction zones that have one lane with concrete barriers on both sides.
Driving in heavy traffic in big cities.

I take the stress out of fuel stops by planning where I can stop by finding truck stops and looking at their layout using Google maps.

Yep, that's a stress point too. Over about 8 yrs., we had to unhook three times. Once I was by myself and turned down a dead end road going to a Monaco service center in Mississippi. Thank goodness there was plenty of room for me to get turned around so that I could re-hook.

Trying to find a gas station that I can get into and out of while pulling the toad have only had to unhook 1 time but have been in some pretty tight spots.

A couple of you mentioned that you are "Bigger than the others" when merging in to traffic. I had to laugh last evening as I drove from Tucson to Las Cruces. On average, 50% of the traffic was fully loaded tractor trailers. At times, it was closer to 90%.

You may be bigger than most cars, but I can assure you that you are not bigger than most tractor trailers and they simply can't get over as easily as the cars do.

I got lost on a 2 lane country road with no way to turn around and came across one of those old very old wooden bridges with a 1930's looking sign regarding the weight limit which of course was no where's near the number I needed to take the MH across.

I closed my eyes and drove "really fast" over it. :B

L.A. Freeways, esp San Diego and I-10 east of Riverside. The fast lane moves @ 75, the # 2 at 70, the # 3 at anywhere from 75 to 80 and the far right is no mans land.

Da MAroons along I 95! My wife screaming all the time. People who pass and then slow down, don't pay attention to their driving, text, read books, watch tv or computers, blab with riders in the back, people who weave just when you get to their rear bumper, ride on your rear bumper in the other lane and won't pass or slow down but speed up with you. The stupid truck drivers on I 81 who won't flash their lights to let you know you are past them. Anyone from Canada New Jersey, New York nor any other state. "Nothing" even stresses me. Not catching fish then driving all night to the next place so I can enjoy myself all day drinking and fishing to drive all night to get home. BWAHAHA Not having a stero on full blast in a campground.
