What is this and how can I get it to stop leaking?

I was gonna....but realized the DP has an AquaHot and not a water heater so he would just have an extra safety valve.....:B.

IMHO, for such an inexpensive item, even if it's only crud on the inside, it's still on its way out, so replace it..Murphy's Law says it'll break when you least want it to......Dennis
