I usually drive at the speed limit up to 75 MPH which is the max speed rating on my tires. If weather conditions or road conditions are not good, I drive slower.
My Workhorse gasser with the 8.1L engine can easily handle the speed limit and fuel mileage is not something I worry about.
I have been retired for 20+ years and I enjoy spending my time at a destination rather than on a boring highway. If possible I use a lot of the back roads, and again, I travel at the speed limit if conditions permit.
