Each year MH manufacturers come up with new features and gadgets that make you want to buy a newer motorhome. So here are 2 questions for you:1: What feature/option would you add to your existing MH, that it did not come with?2: What feature/option do you wish MFGs made for a motorhome?

Our coach is 13 years old so only two slides and they are shallow at that. I wish my old coach had four deep slides. Other than that there haven't been any new things that I long for.

Newmar just came out with the two biggest changes that I would want. They have gone to a steerable tag and they have an emergency exit DOOR in the rear bath models. One of my biggest concerns has been the lack of an easily accessible emergency exit in the back. The exit windows are small and would drop an occupant about 7 feet down to the ground. For an older person or a child that drop could be fatal and that is assuming one can climb up and out the window. The emergency exit is huge in my book.American Coach also added the same thing, but it is my understanding that their exit is a one time only exit and has to be reinstalled by the dealer. That prohibits one from having a basic fire drill which the Newmars will allow.

With this question coming from someone who owns a gas MH, I guess there are a lot of things. Even on my 11 year old DP, it came with AquaHot, Girard awning, four slides, and now that I put in a home refer about the only thing I might change/want is:

I wish my very large rear window slid open. This would allow better ventilation and also provide a nice emergency exit next to the ladder that is already there. I mean why have the emergency exit a small window not near the ladder?A 12v outlet in the bedroom would be nice so you could use a fan while boondocking.A built in compressor would be sweet.

For a 35' Class A:1. Engine/Drivetrain that gets 25 MPG.2. Engine/Drivetrain that gets 40 MPG.But, we all know this isn't going to happen. So, I'd be happy with a leak proof roof that doesn't need constant maintenance.

What options did you order from factory and dealer. I like the 38Q except it is too long for my road to the cottage so I have the 35G. I thought the washer/dryer was just an option but we now see it as a necessity.

we've ordered what may well be our final MH from Winnebago. it's a 2016 Itasca Suncruiser 38Q with several customized features from the factory and several more after arrival at the dealer. we kept each of our two prior MHs for 15-years each and this one will likely be no different. if we keep it for the next 15-years i'll be 80 and while I hope to still be as active as I am today the odds are not favorable. so we decided..what the heck..and splurged.

10,000 lbs is a gnat for conversation coaches like us....

I have a new Winnebago Adventurer and interesting enough they only place one (1) outlet in the lower storage compartments. I do wish there were an additional plug or three (3)

I would have loved to find a coach under $250k that was really rated to pull 10,000lbs, just so that it would never become an issue. I think that a good adaptive cruise control would make driving less tiresome. I would like to have some manual control over the air suspension so for more ground clearance at times. A quieter air conditioner system and a furnace that runs off of shore power would be great.

Some popular add-ons come to mind:
An integrated brake controller
TPMS
Solar panels

One that I have been putting a lot of thought into lately is a better power management system that could take full advantage of limited shore power, solar and alternator and batteries then use an inverter to supply power to what I need to run.
