We've heard that if the closet is in the slide and/or drawers, that things can mildew. Slides are cold and if it's closed up by a closet or drawers there's no air circulation.
We have the bed in the slide with two windows on either side and plenty of room to walk around and two end tables. We soon discovered we don't like the two windows either.
On full moon nights or in the mornings, too much light enters onto our faces. We like a dark room. We have since added the silver insulating material in each window and keep the shades lowered all the time. We never use those windows We also have a large window at the foot of the bed which lets in plenty of air and we have a Fantastic fan in the bedroom also so when that's on the window air blows over us nicely. It works for us.
