I have a Cat 3126B 300 HP with 95,000 on it. Have been East Coast to West Coast towing my 2001 Honda Odyssey. Other than regular care, I have never had to do anything to the engine. I have a friend who also has the same Cat engine in a 38 foot Newmar. I would also say that I haven't heard any bad remarks about a Cummins.
