We just purchased our new future full time home. Fleetwood Bounder 35E, Workhorse, gas powered. We realize the need to have a toad; however we are not experienced enough, at this time, to make the purchase. We believe the toad should be capable of 4 wheels down - so we are asking for feedback on vehicle type, towing system and why.
Thank-you.

A 4x4 Jeep JK Wrangler of course. Ready for all terrain and there's nothing much easier to tow, especially with an auto transmission.
Transfer case in neutral and the tranny in park and you're good to go. Also with the later model JK, there is no steering lock to contend with. Couple this with a READYBRUTE/ELITE tow bar set and a Demco base plate and you should have it all. One thing more and a COOLTECH plug and play wiring harness for making your lighting needs as simple as possible.
This is a tried and true combination that's hard to beat. Also for cost effectiveness and simplicity of operation, as well.
