What weight toad do you have behind your class c ?

We currently flat tow a Pontiac Vibe, curb weight 2960 lbs. DW wants something slightly larger with automatic transmission. We have a 2007class c , with 6.0L V8, 31ft, on Chevy chassis, Fourwinds Chat...

We used to tow an approx 3300 pound cj5 with a 1986 Tioga. It was slow with or without the toad. But reliably delivered 5mpg.

Also, I'm considering switching to a 2008+ 31' C with a 2006 model style Ford Explorer at approx 5000 pounds.

Anyone have experience with this sort of weight as a toad?
