spotrot, I just finished rebuilding one of my Powergear slides (2008 Winnie 32K), yours probably has the same unit (9010000105 or 9010000103). I had about the same symptoms, one side wouldn't close all the way, right after a big "clunk". The whole slide rail will drop out, and most likely you'll need a new ACME actuator nut and two clevis pins. I decided to replace all of the plastic parts, local shop got them from Powergear in about 2-3 weeks (Evergreen RV in Seattle, but PPL in Texas said they could get them too). I bought a new motor/gear box assembly on ebay for far less than any shop could get it. I probably didn't need the new motor, but did it anyway. The biggest problem for me was the ACME actuator nut and bent clevis pins (about $15 for all). A friend and I did the entire job in about 5 hours.
