When we went to a C, we bought a 20 year old TJ Wrangler. Easily towed flat / 4 down. As MDK said, even though his is newer Wrangler, no fuses, no special anything. Hook up, XSFR case in N, transmission in P, and off we go.
Fast forward to late 2020, and with a kid heading to college many hours from home, she needed a more reliable car (she had a 25 year old buick). No, we did not give her the Jeep; we sold the Jeep outright, as well as the Buick, and got her a Corolla using that money and savings to avoid payments.
Point is, we miss the Jeep, but now my wife drives behind me in her Subaru...I miss the ability to flat tow, but it has worked well having her tag along behind. Since we are only doing big RV trips about 4 to 5 weeks a year, this works. Rest of time are small local trips anyway.
