Wheel size

Tomorrow I will begin the search for a spare wheel to mount a tire on to carry on the long trips. My rig uses 19.5 wheels but i do not know the exact specs I need to look for.. I am fairly sure it is an 8 hole. I will have to check that when i go to where it lives. Does someone have the info I need and will you share ??!!Thanks

Looks to be a 19.5 X6 10 lug..
  • I called my roadside service(Progressive) and the guy said they would not mount a tire.

Yes they will mount your unmounted tire...probably be glad you have one for a unusual size. Wrap it with alum foil and plastic wrap to protect it from the sun.

$130 for a rim on Ebay.

  • Agreed! the chances of having a flat or blowout are slim too. I've never had one in 430,000 miles on the last truck I had, it had Michelin Pilot, 11.00-22s. Had to replace them every 100K.

    Just carry an unmounted tire.

Will roadside service mount it ?

The tire is the expensive and time consuming part of flat tire. Most truck tire service trucks can mount the tire.
