Canadian law concerning propane cylinders is quite different from what we find on the US side. If I'm not mistaken, Canadian law is federal, covering all provinces in the same way. In the US, there are 50 different sets of laws covering most aspects of propane; the only central matter concerns initial design and construction of cylinders.

I just bought a 2007 MH. The selling dealer was obliged, by Canadian regulation, to certify the tank and needed to affix a metal plate to it, with the date engraved. That tank is now good for 5 years from date of inspection.
