No in the larger and higher end chassis often there are the air springs that can soften the shock of potholes, etc but the fine control still uses the conventional fixed shocks.
The Koni FSD's improved the control/handling on our P30 chassis. The Bilsteins did have 14K miles on them and weighed about a third of the Koni FSD set so it may not be fair to compare the more expensive Koni FSD to cheaper Bilstein.
