I guess I will add another dimension to this. In my mind the dealers who sell these products should be the first ones to be screaming about the quality of the RV's that are being supplied to them to sell. I realize that part of their compensation package is for fixing these quality control issues but when you hear about the enormity of the problems of some new units and how dealers are at the mercy of waiting on manufacturers to authorize repairs it makes you wonder if they are compensate enough and how it could lead to that possible thought process of "lets send it out the door hopefully the buyer will fix it himself or bring it somewhere else".
I know in my years in the ag. chemical arena both at retail and wholesale, if your product did not perform as advertised and you did not stand behind it and help solve any problems you were quickly replace by another. There are a lot of RV manufactures out there, it would seem that pressure from dealers by dropping the most problematic lines would have some type of impact.
I added this point because I have heard from several in the retail end of the business that warranty work is not very profitable and in many cases puts a strain on the service dept. Well if that is the case it is time for them do stand up and b%#@% about it.
