When a RV manufacturing line is capacity constrained, they produce more product by shipping lower quality and letting the dealers fix it. If the manufacturer fixed it, they would ship fewer.
If the customers keep buying and the competition is the same, why change?
ah, what ever happened to Andy's saying "Do it right the first time"
There is another old saying that goes along with this. It is: "There is never enough time to do it right the first time but someone always finds time to do it the second or third time."
I guess if you can defer the second or third time repair work to others, you just don't care about doing things right the first time.
