Pat....I had the AVCI D-1 in my Monaco and loved it. I also had the steering wheel peanut shaped remote. You can install the antennas three ways. You can just lay them on the dash near the windshield where they'll work most of the time.
You can fish them up either of the windshield posts into the cabinets above and set them atop a cabinet. In my Monaco, there was a metal frame above the cabinets and below the roof. I was able to stick the magnetic antenna mount there for the XM, but had to move it slightly when I didn't get reception when traveling north.
Lastly, and probably the best way for maximum performance is to drill a hole through your front cap and feed the cables into the front cap and down the windshield posts. Just silicon them down to the roof and then use Dicor around the edges.
