- MitchF150Explorer IIIDunno what the make or model of mine is, but I got it when I bought this trailer brand new, so been using it for over 16 years..
It's just a 3' flexable hose that connects to a standard garden hose and the end has a cap on it with tiny holes drilled into it at different angles so it sprays all over the place in the tank.. But, you have to be able to drop it straight down the toilet so it's in the black tank directly and you can move it around and let it fill the tank and such..
Mitch - LwiddisExplorer IIHow clean do you need it to be? Chemical treatment, nearly full, a good drive, a flush or two....
- lostbytesExplorerIs toilet offset on tank? Otherwise, I remembered someone say several bags of ice would work. Never tried it tho. We just do not put toilet paper down. Hopefully helps from hanging up on sensors. Even tho I do not trust sensors myself.
- ScottGNomadThe one I made!
I used a 3' piece of 1/2" PVC pipe with a cap on the end. On the side of the cap I drilled 2, 3/16" holes. One points straight out from the side of the pipe and the other points slightly upward. The other end of the pipe has a fitting for a garden hose.
The pressure through those little holes is immense. It easily blasts away anything stuck on the walls of the tank or the sensors. - old_guyExplorerif you make one like scottg be sure to put an on/off valve on the hose end. some come with a swirling nozzle on the in tank end. some come with a hose and washing head for the not straight into the tank toilets. just what ever you need for your toilet and tank is the one to get
- Dick_BExplorerYuck! I can't imagine sticking something into the toilet then pulling it out again into and thru the living area.
So we have a built-in tank flush. What might be even better is a back flow device which was tested to be better than my tank flush.
A further test of the Back Flush with angled piping revealed that it didn't do anything for cleaning the Black Tank because the flushing water did not work its way up the various bends in the piping.
Another tast showed that the Wand idea with flexible piping and a swivel nozzle works the best. - bobndotExplorer II

That's why old-guy suggested an on/off switch
I place mine inside a small bucket for the living room trip. :B
Having the tank flush is a nice option and will most likely install one next season.
op: Until then , you could add a clear sewer extension for $5 or so . This will give a visual of how clean it's flushing. If you see solids still flowin' ..just keep on flushin' . - ScottGNomad

Yup, I do the same. I put the wand in a garbage bag for transport through the RV. I have my DW controlling the valve so the wand will drain when whe turns it off. - klutchdustExplorer II

There is a video where a man has a clear tank mounted in a truck, he duplicated poo in the tank, dropped the ice into the tank and drove around, yup, the ice did nothing .
I made my own with a shut off valve and 3/8 steel line. Using dawn detergent it foams up nicely.
I have been using Clorox tilex cleaner, it has less bleach than the other bleach cleaners, and spritzing after each use of the toilet and I have NO odor. Using drop in orangey tablets designed for odor control and I was getting odor. - shastagaryExplorerbeen using one of these for years works good for me or build your own.
