What kind of roof is on your rig?
Tilex is awfully strong.

We use Dawn dish detergent, this is what our owners manual recommends. Wash twice a year.

Spic n Span on our rubber roof with a medium stiff brush works great for us.

I use a mixture of Dawn (or any liquid soap), bleach, water in a two gallon yard sprayer. Spray it on, let it set a while, rinse, rinse, rinse. Go over places first application did not get clean. I tend not to use a brush, not needed but if you feel the need, a soft brush is fine.

When it comes to my roof, I'm very touchy here. Use what you may, I use only Rubber Roof cleaner and the conditioner from the closest RV dealership. (It's my money ... I can spend it where I want ... but I don't want to spend it on a new roof because a cleaning solution eventually eroded away the rubber.) Some things I just don't go cheap on.

2X for Spic and Span. This is what the manufacturer says to use.

Spic and Span works great if you can still find the powered version. Dawn will work fine to; the roof does not have to be spotless white, just get the dirt off.

Mequires auto/RV soap, in the pink bottle, here. Dawn & many other cleaners work but as they dribble down the sides they strip any wax you might have.

Tilex & such, is nasty stuff if it gets into the wrong places. Awning fabric, canvas, comes to mind.

Spic and Span here also with a medium stiff brush. I use the liquid Spic and Spam and seems to work great. Could not find the powder.
