It's really a no brainer. Do what your manual says. Frames & MH's are different. What's correct for one doesn't mean it's correct for you. Why guess or do something based on opinion of others who know nothing about your RV.
As far as the dealers having the slides out - if you noticed they're not leveled most the time either, so the frames don't get tweaked. If you don't choose to level either that's up to you.
