Nope. Bad assumption. Folks should still be careful - this is not a "manufacturer" thing. That is what mine says, but look at JimM68's post above. He says:
Per the monaco manual, I park, dump the air to the bumpstops, level (in manual, I do it way lower than the auto system does) and only then extend the slides.
It depends on how the specific brand, year, model is built, so read the manual for YOUR rig.

Yes indeed, per the manual for my '08 monaco.
Park and set the brakes.
Extend the slides.
Dump the air and level the coach.
