- topflite51ExplorerGoing on 4 years with a Vizio in the coach and all is well with it. I think that premature failure has more with how the TV is mounted then the quality of the product. Have seen some mounted like they are in the home instead of in an RV and they are constantly bouncing. None are made for that.
- msmith1199Explorer IISarcasm Bill.
- Bill_SatelliteExplorer IIWhat's up with ANY piece of electronics? I just bought a Lenovo tablet and could not get it to operate properly after hours of work trying to get it setup. Others bought the exact same unit from the same on-line vendor and had good success with the unit.
Usually, if something makes it past the first year it will last "forever". - msmith1199Explorer II

Our first flat screen for the motorhome was a Visio - it lasted about a year. Replaced it with an Insignia brand (Best Buy house brand, I think) and it's been working fine for 4+ years. We also have a smaller Visio in the MH bedroom, and it's been working fine for 5+ years.

So a bunch of people have Vizio's and they worked fine but this guy had a Vizio that only lasted a year. What's up with that? - msmith1199Explorer II

Personally I think the bounce around thing is a myth. First, MH's simply don't bounce around like a 3/4 T pickup with no load...they sort of float.
Just buy one that has a good enough picture, not the picture in a store cause it is deceptive, and be happy with it.
Cheap is good.
Ha ha, maybe your Beaver Patriot floats, but my National Tropical DP does a lot of bouncing! - katoomerExplorer

I see that you dont know what your talking about....
Maybe I don't know what I'm talking about but this info comes from a good friend that owns a custom AV business. Typically sells and installs over 200 TVs a year. He is sick and tired of callbacks for service on cheap tv's so he no longer will deal with them. - Big_KatunaExplorer III agree. An expensive TV is no more rugged than a a cheap one. They are all solid state. More money CAN equal a better picture and more input ports and digital sound outputs, etc.

Cheap is good. - Bill_SatelliteExplorer IIThe same thing I see with my Vizio's. Maybe traveling MORE is better! I have never had an issue with (now my 3rd) Vizio. I have a 22" and 2 - 32".
I do recommend that you look at any TV you buy and ensure it has a wide viewing range. You are looking for 170+ degree viewing angles.
