OK, so I didn't look closely at the dollar amount, and therefore underestimated your definition of low end. But philosophically, it still applies. I remember Brett talking about his yearly expense for up keep on his 15 year old Foretravel. The biggest expense by far was tires, which is universal no matter what you buy. Actual stuff that broke was minimal, do to the construction quality and materials used. That is what you get from moving up the chain a little bit. There is a lot more to it than just nicer woodwork.
BTW: The Foretravel in the link is only 36 feet.
