Even if you like red, the depreciation on the red one will be terrible because it's not a "standard" color that RV's are made.
The '15 has some nice improvements over the '14 like was said above though.
For me the month of chassis manufacture would be an issue too as the ProMaster has had a couple recalls, software improvements and service bulletins in the last year since they came out. Parts for those recalls have been an issue, as well as dealer knowledge about fixing them.....
But for us, the G model is inferior to the new K model by a wide margin..

Just now looked at that--and so would I. The single bed arrangement of these two would actually prevent me from buying this model at all--my husband and I both tend to get up several times during the night, and the disturbance that would create for us on a bed like this with walls on each side would be unlivable. Two twins means the other person isn't disturbed and it's definitely something every Class B buyer should consider.
(What we love about our Pleasureway's bed--from the waist up we're in the same bed, but our legs each have their own side of the coach and getting up during the night causes no disturbance.) - NeeciesExplorerThe 'older' one only has 1100 miles on it, and the interiors look pretty identical. Issues others have mentioned notwithstanding, including that hot red paint job!, yes I'd buy the 'older' one.
- BraidedcreekExplorerI have a 2015G model as originally laid out. It works but I do like the K's rear shower and layout. But all those windows will make it almost impossible to heat/cool or black out the Alaska night for sleeping.
- bobojay5ExplorerTrue that MLTS22 & mumkin....
- mumkinExplorerThe majority of the posters on that board - even those who have had the usual issues - are happy once all is fixed. A couple people have had "lemons" and had them replaced.
It seems pretty similar to the first year of the Sprinter roll out here in the US. - mlts22ExplorerAll and all, for a first year model (as the ProMaster has a completely new drivetrain for the US), the van isn't doing too badly. As always, it is wise to try to wait until a MY after the first one so all the recalled stuff can get fixed, but for a vehicle that gets a lot more wear and tear than an average car does in a service lifetime, ProMasters seem to be holding up well.
- bobojay5ExplorerSquealing brakes, squeaking rear spring shackles, head rests, gas pedal, brake hose and Wiring harness/battery box water issue.
Most service bulletins, a couple recalls in there.... - mumkinExplorerHave any of you travato owners had the squealing brakes issue that is being discussed on the Promaster forums?
If I was buying a 2015, I would want to 2015 platform... - wincrasher65ExplorerI have had only one notice on mine (build date Feb 2014) for some shield for the battery cabling. That's it. The other stuff was on early production vans in late 2013.
