  • The funny thing is that except for two (fairly minor) items, the "K" model just blows away the "G" in every way possible.

The two items being that the "G" can sleep one, possibly two more people, and that the "G" has a much larger fridge.

I wonder if Winnebago will update the "G" floorplan to use a NovaKool refrigerator of the similar size and the Truma furnace.
  • Even if you like red, the depreciation on the red one will be terrible because it's not a "standard" color that RV's are made.
The '15 has some nice improvements over the '14 like was said above though.

For me the month of chassis manufacture would be an issue too as the ProMaster has had a couple recalls, software improvements and service bulletins in the last year since they came out. Parts for those recalls have been an issue, as well as dealer knowledge about fixing them.....

But for us, the G model is inferior to the new K model by a wide margin..
  • For me, it would be a tough decision. The 2014 bench seat by the dinette is completely unusable for me, so I'd be forced to use the driver's seat or use the mini bench seat created when the sliding door is closed. However, can it be lived with for the $10,000-$15,000 saved?
  • Haggle. You might get the 2015 down near the 2014 price. The worst they can do is say no.
  • Ritz. I own a 2014
Which one you buy depends upon the few minor differences. The 2015 bed is 7 inches higher . For me that would make me unhappy as it's quite a hike to get in and out of that bed since I am 5'6. The 2015 also has a medicine cabinet in the bathroom instead of the soap dispenser. Nice feature as long as you keep it dry when showering. 2015 dinette bed up front is a bit bigger but of no consequence for me, but that's a consideration. Then of course there's price. I doubt you'll see much price difference between the 2.... Likely low 60's for the 2014 and 70 to 72 for the 15
Good luck. Either way it's a nice rig
  • Well, the new one should carry a substantial discount. I'd expect the out the door price to be around $75k or aless. Their price on the used one seems quite high considering what I bet they gave on trade. I'd offer them $50k.

    Good lluck.
  • It depends. If I had a lot of money I'd take the 2015. If money was an issue or I didn't want to take the depreciation hit I'd take the 2014. Another factor would be the mileage on the 2014. They both look like nice RV's. It depends.
