- GjacExplorer IIII think maintenance is more important than battery brand. Case in point my first set of replacement batteries were Trojan 105's. They lasted me 4 years. People told me that was normal because I only dry camp. My second set were Sam's Club batteries which I bought in 2007 and are still good. Do I think Sam's Club is better because they lasted me 14 years and Trojan only lasted 4 years, no, I just learned how to maintain them better. Secondly, I would buy a battery type based on how you camp and your electrical requirements. Folks with high amp loads or full time might may want to pay extra for a Li battery, people who don't want to be bothered with maintenance may go with AGM, people that just go to FHU CG's a 12v battery is good enough. Not everyone needs a 400 AH Li battery and 400 W of solar panels.
- pushtoy_2Explorerwhat ever you buy dont mix agm with lead acid..buy the one with the best warrenty
- DamBeaverExplorerSkip all of these options and get the new Fullriver EGL series AGM. https://www.fullriverbattery.com/product/egl200-6/
This battery is brand new, has the longest warranty, will do twice the cycles, and is safe to discharge 80%
This is an incredible battery, get these or update to Lithium.

Amen to that! - HHg_in_AustinExplorerI just replaced my batteries with 6 of the Trojan T-105’s. Paid about $136.00 each at one of the local golf cart stores…..be sure to buy a battery strap to pull the old ones and replacing the new….sure makes the whole process easier. They are heavy…. All the research I did….pointed to the Trojan as the best. Also agree with earlier post….they are wet-cell.
- Why was Lifeline excluded?
- chuckftboyExplorerI would go with Trojan as they are are very high quality battery and worth a few bucks more than other wet cells. The seller can say what ever they want but T 105's are wet cell not AGM's
- ferndaleflyerExplorer IIII had used Interstate for many years until I discovered that Wal Mart and Interstate were made by the same company so I tried Wal Mart at 1/3 less cost and they are still doing fine 3 years later. I also have one in the Smart car and the Mercedes, replaced after 17years!
- LwiddisExplorer IIAnd an adequate solar system does that very well most days Mr. Wizard as you know.
