We have a Great Pyrenees, which has very long hair. NONE of the vacuums with rotating brushes worked well, including ones that were supposedly for animal hair. It was like trying to vacuum up lengths of string. What works the best for us is the Dirt Devil built in RV central vac with the plain head. This just sucks up the hair without tangles and clogs. I mounted our unit in a cabinet near the entrance door and with the long hose it also allows me to vacuum the toad during our travels. We are now going on our fourth year with this vacuum without any problems.
