Which weight for South Dakota registration?

Which weight do they use for South Dakota registrations of a motorhome.
Looking at weights I see GVWR and GAWR noted for some motorhomes?

    Unless things have changed since I registered in SD back in '03, they wanted dry shipping weight.

    I suggest the OP call the treasurer's office to verify.
  • I could not get the unloaded weight but if you can find it you will save money. I had to go to a weigh station and weigh the coach so I paid a bit more than I would have needed to if I had the correct information.

  • They want dry shipping weight also known as UVW (unloaded vehicle weight)
  • When we registered our Hurricane they wanted the weight from the manufacturer's certificate. This is typically the GVWR.
