- ChooChooMan74ExplorerI only use Teknor Apex 5/8 neverkink hoses. 1) Made in USA and 2) One of my Rail Customers.
- rv2goExplorer III had to replace my 1/2" x 25' ApexNever Kink RV hose last year. Not because it burst, but it was 10 years old and would kink while rolling up. The Apex NeverKink is guaranteed for life not to kink. I contacted Apex and they gave me instructions on how to get a new, free replacement.
I use a pressure regulator set at 45lbs connect to the faucet. - supercubExplorerI have a new hose I've never used, so will change out the old one. The old hose came with the RV when I bought it 2 years ago, so I don't know much use it had before that. Thanks for the feedback.
Brian - nevadanickExplorerNot always a sign of a cheap hose. If its in the sun and its warm or hot out the water expands and the hose grows when there is no flow. They arent made for hot water.

I have quit using the white hoses you get at Camping World (and Walmart). I ordered a couple of hoses through Amazon which are blue in color and are safe for drinking water. On those white ones, they aways fail around the connections, some of them only lasted me for a couple of hook ups, others lasted longer, but all fail. And yes, I do use a pressure regulator and the blue hoses have not failed after a couple of years of use.
I always get leaks at the union of the connector and the hose before I get a hole in the hose itself. I even went to the quick connect type, they last longer, but still eventually get a leak. - jswatExplorerI have quit using the white hoses you get at Camping World (and Walmart). It's a sing the pressure is high.
.. - Artum_SnowbirdExplorerMine bulged just before it burst. Don't buy one until it blows, as having water into the unit isn't important. LOL
- happy-2ExplorerCheep Hose. At the water source install a 50-55 psi regulator then a good white hose for drinking water,Maybe quick disconnect fittings,

Yes replace it.
This is the only right answer.
All the rest of the discussion might be interesting or informative but if the hose is bulging it must be replaced. You can think about the other considerations after that.
