Who tows a CRV??

Just got a new (2014) Honda CRV. Did a lot of looking and investigating the car itself. Came down to the CRV or Subaru Forester.
Got a great deal on the CRV so went for it.

Already have the car and will have the Roadmaster towing system (was using it on previous toad) installed tomorrow BUT just thought I'd ask if anyone is currently using a CRV as a toad?? How do you like it?

Realize this is an after-the-fact question but thought I'd ask anyway.

  • I think it is a great toad, good engine with lots of power, and plenty of room inside for five passengers and more.
  • We have an '09 and a ReadyBrute. Only regret is we didn't install a charge cord.

  • It's a Honda, it will be problem free and practically run forever, what's not to love.

  • We towed a new 2007 CR-V for 5 yrs. (67,000 miles driving, 57,000 miles towing= 124,000 miles total).

Purchased a new 2013 Honda CR-V at the end of 2012 and now have 11,000 miles driving and 8,000 miles towing. Flawless.

We had the fuse cut-off put on both vehicles as they both had navigation. I'm a Honda fan as they are reliable, AWD, good fuel mileage, can carry 5 people, plenty of storage in the back and only weights 3,426 lbs.

You will enjoy your new CR-V toad.
