Who's Towing a 2016 Ford Escape

You can't believe the Ford manuals all the time. Bought a 2013 Ford Fussion and manual, sales manager stated that it could be towed 4 down. Well 3 weeks later with car only having 1,800 miles on it FMCA wrote a article that stated it could not be towed. Fought with Ford, found out they sent a technical bulletin out that was never posted at dealership. I got screwed on that one.

Here is a link to the information Malia has provided concerning her trials and tribulations of towing her Ford Escape. Her car was "towable" 4 down per Ford, yet she had multiple problems with it. She communicated extensively with Ford about it.

She eventually solved her problem by getting rid of the Escape and getting a Honda Fit to tow.

Don't know but some years were towable and later Ford decided they weren't, we had a friend that trashed two transmissions before she dumped her Escape to tow a Honda Fit.

yep, when in doubt, read the directions

as far as I know it cannot be towed 4 down like some others. You may be able to do it if you disconnect things that I don't know.
