Our Class C came with a rear window and I use the cab rear view mirror and this wide angle lens to see vehicles behind me that would not be visible in the side mirrors.
I have the same sort of situation, and the same sort of lens. It's quite useful during the day, and gives a surprisingly good view of what's immediately in back of the motorhome. During night it's a little less helpful as there's nothing visible to gauge where headlights are in relation to your (i.e. what lane the vehicle is in). I'm quite glad for the inside rear view mirror--and the outside ones also, of course.
