Why Are There Inside Rear View Mirrors In Class C's

I've tried searching for this but can't seem to find an answer. I suppose they allow you to see whats going on inside the coach. I wonder if Ford gets the glass with the mount already attached so they...

As others have said, that's how the chassis comes from Ford, or Chevy. In my case it was useless so I replaced it with rear view camera. The camera is inside the rear window and the existing rear view mirror is replaced with a monitor. Gives a real good rear view to watch the towed car and anything else going on behind me.
