Please allow me to start by saying that I mean no disrespect at all. I am just trying to understand the “why”.
And I don't mean any disrespect in saying what I'm saying. I had an article saved for many years concerning a MH I had to drive past it everyday that was involved in a couple fatalities. Older couple came down a big hill, cabinet broke free from wall and landed against drivers back and pinned driver from getting his knee up to get his foot on the brake pedal, ended up killing both of them upon final impact. Still might have an article about class A safety that local news coverage after that crash.
Just looking at room...Class A hands down.
BUT....
Ever heard of structural integrity?
Ever seen the passenger compartment in a Class A after a crash?
Chassis are made pretty safe and have stiff gov't spec's. But what's attached to the chassis, namely the motorhome body is a big egg shell. Passengers inside a motorhome perched on their seat are basically the same principle of soap on a rope. Hanging on, waiting for impact.
Just my opinion after having to drive by one everyday for about 6 months waiting for insurance to total the mess.
