Why do we need such a big windshield???

My problem with the windshield is that the upper 12 inches or so is pure black, then eventually blends in with the glass. That upper black 12" of glass is a heat magnet. Both of my Winnie's had zero insulation between the glass and the cabinets. It gets damn hot up there in the summer. I ended up pulling the tv and panels in that area and then filling the void with that white pillow stuffing from Walmart for insulation. Made a huge difference in keeping the cap cooler.

Btw, I also used it in the shower skylight. Just pull the inside cover off and try to evenly install the white stuff. Helps insulate and block some sunlight so I can sleep-in in the morning. :)
