Why do class A motorhomes have such a big windshield? The top 18" or so has cabinets or a TV set hanging in front of it on the inside anyway. They could easily make the windshields 24" shorter than th...

A big windshield is not needed to R&R a refer. A side window can be removed much easier which is what my installer did. You do have to remove the doors but they will fit through a window
By golly I don't think mine will fit through a side window. But I sure am going to measure.
Don't know what you are going to install, just remember that the entire window frame will be removed, not just the glass. My Samsung 197 went through the side window with a few inches to spare. Could have got a 22cuft instead of the 18
